Our History.

Humanistic Communications, Inc, was founded in 1997, while attending a 2 day Act Roxbury conference about what cultural entrepreneurs wanted to see in the Roxbury community surrounding the arts and this company was born. In the beginning Humanistic Communications, Inc. began as Humanistic Guide a publication, and our first issue was in hard copy and has been on-line since 2017. In 2006 Artists of Color also under the umbrella of Humanistic Communications, Inc. was created again with the need to have black and brown arts and cultural organizations spoken in their own voice.

About the Founder.

As Executive Director/Founder and first generation Boston/Roxbury resident I have felt it was my mission to write about and feature black and brown artists and cultural organizations in their voice which is also my voice. In 2006 Humanistic Communications, Inc. was created and became a non-profit corporation and in 2019 became 501©3 tax exempt.
